Not an event you attend.
A place you belong to.
Wor Lot is a creative membership community in Durham. Small groups. The same faces, every time.
Making friends in your 30s, 40s and beyond is harder than anyone admits. You go to things and you meet people you like. You exchange numbers and mean every word you say about doing it again.
And then somehow three months have passed.
It is not a goodwill problem. It is a structure problem. Adult life does not come with built-in opportunities for the same people to show up, repeatedly, over time.
Wor Lot is built around structure. The same group. The same venue. The same night of the month. Until it stops feeling like something you attend and starts feeling like something that is yours.
The problem nobody quite says out loud
